Volunteers are key in uniting homeless shelter pets with loving families, which is both exciting and rewarding. Volunteers make a difference!

Cat of the month!

Dog of the month!

Black and White Pitbull named champ smiling

Champ has had a rough go. He first came to the shelter back in February of 2021. He was adopted in October of 2022. After being loose and brought to the shelter twice, the owner was tired of him escaping, and said for us to keep him in July of 2023. So here he waits again for someone to give him a chance. Champ loves people and loves to play and go for walks. He would be perfect for an active family. He is housetrained and walks fairly well on a leash.  As with most shelter dogs, he will need training in basic manners, but he is super smart and would learn quickly.

Black cat named Kat short fur yellow eyes

Get ready to meet the amazing Kat! This two-year-old feline is a bundle of energy and personality, and she's on the hunt for her forever home! The best part? Kat has already been spayed and is up-date on all her shots, so she's ready to join your family right meow! Come meet this little ball of fur and see if she's the perfect addition to your household!

All pets adopted from Belmont County Animal Shelter are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, wormed, tested (Heartworm /Lyme), (Feline Leukemia/FIV), flea treated.

If you've lost your pet or found someone else's file a report to Belmont County Animal Shelter as soon as possible.

Your financial contributions will help us provide toys, medical treatments, blankets and beds for many of the shelter pets.
