OUR MISSION

At Belmont County Animal Shelter our mission is to save the lives of stray abandoned animals in our care, reunite lost pets with their owners, protect people and pets in our community from health-related issues and ensure the public’s safety.

VOLUNTEER

Volunteers are key in uniting homeless shelter pets with loving families, which is both exciting and rewarding. Volunteers make a difference!

Please note:  In order to be approved for adoption, all animals in the home must be spayed/neutered and up to date on core vaccines.  We will verify this information with your vet.

Cat of the month!

Leo.jpeg

Meet Leo.  He is a 7-year-old domestic long-haired cat who has been with us for about 3 weeks.  He is super sweet and can't wait for his furever home.  Could it be with you?

Dog of the month!

SkyeSpring.png

Meet Skye.  He is about 2 years old and a greyhound mix.  Skye has been here for 8 long months.  He can be a bit intimidating from behind his kennel but once he's out and away from the chaos, you couldn't ask for a better dog!  He loves to play tug of war and fetch.    He considers himself a lap dog and would love to be given a chance at a furever home.  Please consider adopting Skye!
